An artist, any artist is a fool. No two ways about it. How stupid it is to put across whatever you love, cherish and value above everything else and allow the world to be a judge of that? Or maybe, artists are the biggest optimists. They have pulled the wool around their eyes.
It is like sharing the most significant piece of yourself. And it is not about confidence and skill. It boils down to honesty. Only brutal honesty can inspire you to expose your art and ideas to the foolish, foolish world.

if people have nice things to say about your work, you feel happy, proud.
if they have nasty things to say, then u have something to crib about.
