Goodbye Hollywood!

2009 August 5

The dog went mad and somehow, turned orange yesterday. Was a dream, thankfully. Morning when I woke up, I observed his behaviour for sometime. Just to be sure, it was a nightmare and nothing real.

We had a little filmi sequence in our house yesterday. The dog being the prisoner of war and me the interrogator. Al-Qaida could train him. For the 15 mins that I walked around him, demanding information about his headquarters; ammunition his organisation possess; threatening him about dire consequences of Chinese torture, produced nothing. Just mute stares. And the head down every now and then to pacify me.

At the end of the interrogation, when I finally gave up and sat before him, he raised his one paw gingerly and looked at me with concern. (He may have been having serious doubts about my insanity but that is entirely his problem.)

only after I stopped addressing him as ‘Quaidi (Prisoner)’ and called out his real name did he wag his tail and appear normal.

Ha! We shall never make it to Hollywood. Only because the damn dog doesn’t know when not to get worried and when to play his part.
